Stop and smell the roses

Been busy working on some new brooches this afternoon. All of these come from a 1967 book about gardening. Love them!

Fat tailed dwarf lemur

Just a couple of brooches I made on Friday. My favourite is the 'fat tailed dwarf lemur' - how unfortunate to be named that!

I’ve got soul but I’m not a soldier

I made this brooch this afternoon, too. Lovely and vintage, that's what I love about him. He'll be glazed soon and then may be put onto my Etsy shop. Hope you're having a lovely afternoon! :)

Stampede

Here's a sneak peak into some new brooches made just this afternoon... After going to the Finders Keepers yesterday, I was inspired to get creative. These cute animal hand stamps are imprinted onto recycled paper and are reminiscent childhood daydreams. They'll be glazed soon and then may be put into my Etsy shop in a couple of weeks. Cheerio! :)

P. S.

I just made these postage stamp brooches! Yay - I love making these... My favourite bit is sorting through all of the stamps and seeing the hand stamps dating way back into history. I'm in love with the colours, designs and perforated edge.  Yes, I believe I’m a stamp collector at heart - my favourite stamp out of this batch would either have to be the USA air mail or the aeroplane stamp. These still have to be painted and have their three coats of glaze but oh, I can't wait to see the finished product!
