We're back!
After a very long, happy holiday small change is back in business. The above photo is the current small change work station; as you can see, we're very busy with making more wares. It's a whole lot of experimenting - sometimes it makes me feel like a mad scientist! Hopefully soon I'll be able to show you some new designs.
Until then,
Small change xxx

Ballet beauties
Do you remember the beautiful ballet book that was featured in the previous post? Well, this morning I had the heart to turn some of its lovely, vintage pages into brooches. I'm just in love with these graceful poses!

Pirouettes and points
It feels like quite a lazy day today. Not only because the sun is hiding away, but because I'm drinking tea that I only drink on rainy days.
To cure my rainy day blues, I sat down this morning with a pile of books at hand and rifled through the antique pages.
The above snaps are of a book I purchased yesterday. It is a beautiful beginner’s ballet book published in 1955. I may just be dreaming of myself doing pirouettes in points.

Preparation is paramount
Today has been quite a big brooch day!
The above snaps are of some brooches getting prepared for their resin coating... A surprisingly long process! I've been putting off giving them their coat of resin. But presently, having these content brooches drying ever so slowly, I feel as if I have achieved a great deal in just a day. Hopefully we will see the results soon! x

A world of antique and unloved
I thought I'd treat you to a peek into the world of brooches and books. These snaps are an example of the antique and retro books I upcycle into brooches. As you can see, I am inspired a lot by nature... Who isn't?
I don't know about you, but I have had a splendid weekend sipping tea and being creative! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, won't you?

1st ever brooch sold on Etsy!
Well, walking to the post office today, with a little parcel in my hand that was addressed to Sweden, really made my day!
I'll be listing some new brooches on my Etsy shop soon, so keep your eye out. What a splendid Monday! x

Hi there, Miss Rosemary
I had a super time at the Northern Brisbane Rollers bout last night! But I forgot to take the camera, so here's a small drawing of the stall set-up last night.
Some beautiful new brooches that make me dream of English gardens and little adventures. I actually had my mind set on making some roller derby themed brooches, but my love of nature won :)
Hope you're enjoying your Sunday afternoon as much as I am! x

Mail me the moon
I've been making a lot of postage stamp brooches lately; I just can't seem to get enough of them. I can't wait to go to the Northern Brisbane Roller's roller derby bout tonight at the Brisbane Convention Centre. Tickets are on sale now! Hope to see you there! x
