Let's roll!
The Sun State Roller Derby at the Beenleigh Arena last night was awesome! There was a whole little market area with about 17 stalls. I had an awesome time and can't wait to have a stall there next time. :)

A little letter
Just some new brooches I made last night. I wish I could live in that little cottage! I'm quite excited about tonight - I'm selling small change wares at another roller Derby. This roller derby is at the Beenleigh Arena (2-10 Milne St) on Saturday 27th August. Tickets are available here. How exciting!

Tomorrow
Just some little brooches I made yesterday and thought I'd share. I'm getting quite excited about the roller derby tomorrow night, held by the Brisbane City Rollers, where I'll be selling the brooches and pendants. Here's the details again - just in case you're like me and frequently forget important dates: Saturday the 20th August at the Ipswich Showgrounds, from 6pm. It'll be fun - can't wait! :)

The world's smallest computer
Just some new brooches I made last night. I love the retro calculator - if I remember correctly, the caption under the image said: 'The calculator - the world's smallest computer'! :)

Mix and Matchboxes
Some lovely new pendants I finished off this afternoon. My favourite is the sewing machine. I think it's quite beautiful how everyday objects such as light bulbs and sewing machines were celebrated back 'in the day'. I'll be selling these and small change brooches at the Brisbane City Roller's Roller derby bout on Saturday the 20th August at the Ipswich Showgrounds, from 6pm. Hope to see you there! :)

Iron Paddle Steamer
The very first small change pendant! This lovely pendant, featuring a collector's vintage Redhead matchbox cover, has an adjustable waxed-cotton necklace and a silver plated bail back. It is on sale in my Etsy shop at this very moment :)

Stop and smell the roses
Been busy working on some new brooches this afternoon. All of these come from a 1967 book about gardening. Love them!

Fat tailed dwarf lemur
Just a couple of brooches I made on Friday. My favourite is the 'fat tailed dwarf lemur' - how unfortunate to be named that!

I’ve got soul but I’m not a soldier
I made this brooch this afternoon, too. Lovely and vintage, that's what I love about him. He'll be glazed soon and then may be put onto my Etsy shop. Hope you're having a lovely afternoon! :)
Stampede
Here's a sneak peak into some new brooches made just this afternoon... After going to the Finders Keepers yesterday, I was inspired to get creative. These cute animal hand stamps are imprinted onto recycled paper and are reminiscent childhood daydreams. They'll be glazed soon and then may be put into my Etsy shop in a couple of weeks. Cheerio! :)

P. S.
I just made these postage stamp brooches! Yay - I love making these... My favourite bit is sorting through all of the stamps and seeing the hand stamps dating way back into history. I'm in love with the colours, designs and perforated edge. Yes, I believe I’m a stamp collector at heart - my favourite stamp out of this batch would either have to be the USA air mail or the aeroplane stamp. These still have to be painted and have their three coats of glaze but oh, I can't wait to see the finished product!

Mammals of the world
Three very new, very nice looking animals have just been made into brooches. I think I just saw little Jackrabbit move his ears! :)

Call waiting
I made some new brooches the other day, including this one and a little teapot which I'm quite fond of. I'll be sure to post a picture of my little kettle soon. In the meantime, I'll be preparing these for their 1st coat of glaze and proceed to be incredibly excited about the holidays coming up! x

Let's play favourites
Well, every time I see this brooch I melt... It's my favourite at the moment and is sitting in Bleeding Heart waiting to be pinned through your shirt, just above your heart.
Stock up time
Just popped into Bleeding Heart to stock up my little box in their gift shop. If you venture out in this cold weather of late, remember to wear warm clothes and stop by to have a squiz!

A little mouse
Even though this may not be a little mouse, I think he's absolutely gorgeous. He's my favourite in the new batch of brooches I made yesterday. Hope you like him as much as I do!

Harry
I was trying to come up with a name for this elephant a few minutes ago; I think he looks like a Harry or a Steve. Well, Harry the elephant just needs a couple coats of glaze and he'll be ready brave the Serengeti : )

Hello, Victoria
I love old fashion! I made these brooches the other day... They're still patiently awaiting a coat of glaze in their royal towers : )

Starlings
And here we have several bird brooches I made last night. If I remember correctly, a couple of them are starlings : )
A managerie
I started off this joyous weekend by making some brooches... Even though they are premature, and haven’t been glazed yet, I hope they crinkle your cheeks with a smile : )

May be attending the Endeavour Foundation's Big Community Day Out. Not quite sure if we will yet, but I heard there's going to be live music and street performers :) I'll keep you posted!

P.S. Yay, it’s the beginning of a new month! :)
